Title: anyone installed a securix cctv system????

am i thick or what..... (don't answer that). just set it all up and my brain has just melted, I'm going to quickly take a PhD paper cos i may pass with flying colours...... but I'm now stuck on what passwords etc to fill in to my remote view on my iPhone, anyone else got the whole unit set up ??????  :P

Never even heard of Securix, but I'm guessing it has network capability judging by your question.

The password you enter on your phone needs to be the same password you set in the Securix configuration panel for remote access.
If your router doesn't support UPnP, then you will have to forward the relevant ports in that as well.

If you have a link to the instruction manual, I'll have a gander and translate it to "layman's" english for you.

Pretty much as Martian says - likely to be same password for everything, and you will need your router to correctly NAT.


I've fitted no end of different ones, at both ends of the spectrum, and most of the cheapies are basically the same (often exactly the same!)
