Post count numbers = wasted life.

Let's go for a beer before my surgeon says I can't drink, and it's your round  ;)

I'm about ready to go to bed, just started my meds and they have knocked the shi.... out of me.  TBH I could have slept from about 1pm but I had too much work to do.  I'm supposed to do an all-nighter exercise on Wed/thur and I do not know how I am going to do it  :-/

Maybe at the weekend?

And the first round is mine... after that...  :y

I got the figure from the previous night's backup, seeing as whoever did it had lost the bit of paper ;D  :-/

I know exactly what you are going through G, the lethargy generally hits me on the 3rd day after I've had the treatment.
Now if the hossy were to give me a 7 day supply of roids...

If you're up for it then I'm game, not gonna be a mental one though, just a pint or two.

Anything that reduces my savings count so I can get something back from the state works for me  ;D

It's time the admin team invested in some quality post it stickers with decent glue on then to stop them falling off and getting mislaid. ;)

It's the roids that are killing me, 9mg a day for 2 weeks.... I am not sure I am going to last one week like this  :-/

I think I should have the extra 10k anyway as compensation for the missing PC over the last couple of months  :y

Obviously four figures are all you can fit on a post-it when you're a Stokie writing in crayon. ;D ;D

I remember when I got my first dose of the upchucks, 7 hours of non stop puking to the point where it became nothing more than dry retching. I wouldn't fancy it again, that's for sure.
The roids have the opposite effect on me though (thank christ), they give me the same amount of energy I had when I was a teenager but the hossy will only give me a 3 day supply  :(

Just Googled "immunosupressants and cancer" and it doesn't make for good reading at all, maybe I'll be better off hunting down the local dealer and having some amphetamines instead on the days I need the energy boost  ;D

Anyway, I'm off to Frimley now to see the Lt Col and get the list of what I won't be allowed to do after the op  :(

Didn't get to see the Technician, got to see his 2 IC instead (a very nice lady called Debbie with a briliiantly sick sense of humour  :) ).

Turns out I will end up with a stoma (that's still better than being dead though), and by all accounts they will have me up and out of bed within hours of the operation (I'll be the judge of that one  :) ).

Overall it's looking good, and that's all that matters right now.

Welcome news indeed Martian - all the best for the procedure and for a speedy recovery. 8-) :y

It's not often you get patients happy with having a stoma, but then considering the alternative I can completely understand.  Day 3 of the steroids and I still feel like shi.......
