Everything turns to rubbish >:(
Forgetting work stuff for a mo, my evening...
Get in car to leave work, just putting key in ignition, 'THUD', an Giant Super Mega Albatross has desposited the contents of its backside on my windscreen from a very great height. Not just a splatter, but a massive great lump, splashed everywhere, like a vandal has thrown a can of Dulux over the front of the car. Windscreen washers get enough off screen to allow me to drive home....
...where I hit every single red light on the trip, then end up following some dozy old bat who couldn't see over the steering wheel, drives at 25mph, and stops at every side road to let people out...
...so get home, think I really need to remove the birdshit from the car, so get the hose out. Turn tap on, the hose end slips, I get soaked...
...repair the hose, turn tap on, bloody tap starts to leak bad. Ho hum, don't have a spare, so ignore that, birdshit removed with pressure washer...
...as pressure washer is out, decide to wash the driveway with the patio cleaner - which makes the pressure washer cycle on-off-on-off repeatedly. Can't find a fault, no obvious blockages after stripping down, but still no workio. Use the neighbour's attachment briefly, but bu now, just too much water to see whats what...
...so walk inside, promptly trip over laptop charger, sending laptop flying off kitchen worktop on the floor.
Not touching anything else tonight.

This is after spending all day at work trying to get a kickstart template working - but seeing as I work for 'a computer company', I obviously have a crap laptop with no free disk space, and no DVD writer. So I was having to do it via a share on a colleagues laptop, and wait for him to burn after every test. No rather DVDRs, so resorted to a DVDRW, that would only burn at 2.4speed as well... ...Grrrrr

To interrupt the cycle of mishaps, you should have beaten the shit out of the laptop - clear the custard so to speak.

a) this bottle will drop in, smash, and cut my backside to ribbons

look in the brightside, if you can see an albatross that means you are close to sea and whenever you want you can park your car and watch the waves and smell it..
I'm ready to wash the car everyday just for it, anyway I do ;D (just coming from washing the car)

I suspect in reality, it wasn't an albatross (no such thing in deepest Milton Keynes), but a ugly, fat pigeon who had a chicken vindaloo that disagreed with him

They fly in squadrons through slough, work car park is on the flight path to Heathrow I'm sure of it. There's often a trail of destruction diagonally from one side of the car park to the other. Maybe they rest on the factory roof and take off is a bit of a strain >:( the quantity is quite incredible. :o

I think we all get days like that where anything that can go wrong will go wrong! Best thing to do in those situations is NOTHING - put feet up, fill fridge up with favourite beer and get trashed. ;D

Sadly, today didn't improve much, although I did receive my company easter egg (all employees got one this year, only a month late), and I have now fixed pressure washer...

We had great fun yesterday. The smart card entry system to the office failed (German software) and none of the doors would open. Had to take the hinge pins off the entry to stores (which ripped the rather great electromagnet that holds it closed off the frame) ::).
Then we realised that there were parts of the building that, once entered, there was no way out (including reception). :D Not even a fire exit. :-? Removal of the roof tiles and crawling into the next room would be your only hope other then digging a tunnel. ;D

You've just got to accept that shit happens :( though in your case today T.B. it looks like you've got the runs :o
