I meant your first job after leaving school Cem ;) are we a similar age then do you think?? :D

Rick Astley - never gonna give you up - release date 1987 .. I was in the last year of university..but working at the same time.. ( so this year took a bit longer ;D) .. this may give some idea ;)

I vaguely recall it just being the end of the Chip Shop Boys being big. I think the big hyped stuff - back in the days when soft drinks used to pay millions for a popstar to advertise them - were Madonna and Jacko.

Racking my brains, were late 80s a bit of a stagnant time - the 'classic' 80s music had passed, and the more dancy early 90s still wasn't mainstream... ...leavign us with the likes of Rochford, Terence Trent Derby etc

...or was I too isolated from music, sat in my little van with no radio, and too messed-up of an evening out to notice?
