Title: How the hell(email question)

can you get spam emails from your own email address :-?.Just opened my in box and 3 emails ok, 5 spam,from my own email address about jobs.IE jobs in your area local vacancy in your area.Never had any spam from my own email address before,is this strange.Or am i just thick  :-[ BTW just deleted them straight away,but it has puzzled me :-/.Moggy

Why cant keep it up ;D ;D.Just been reading about it something to do with address book.Is it a problem or should i just ignore it :y

I would suggest that someone has got into your email account, Moggy, not uncommon I'm afraid. My wife's father keeps sending her emails asking if she wants to buy any sex aids. ;D

Anyone can send an email apparently from a different user.

Only by checking the headers can you really begin to tell....

So i suppose the only thing to do is change my email address >:(.Because they are getting through the spam filter now,self-abusers >:(

It's more important to change your password if they've hacked your account.

Thats why they send stuff apparently from you.  You just need a better spam filter.

If its your own domain, set up a proper SPF.

Either way, use a blacklist service in your spam filter.
