Title: Huge thanks to Darth...
Post by: Nickbat on 12 June 2011, 20:43:07
Struggled in wet weather to do a fantastic job changing my cambelt, auxiliary belt, water pump, antifreeze & plugs. Never met Daz before, but he's got a great personality and an absolute wizard mechanic.  :y :y :y

Only trouble is that now my car is "pinking". For those who think that term means pre-ignition, you are entirely wrong. It actually means that the CCRT will ONLY play Rick Astley.   ;)

Commiserations on the Rick Ghastly. I guess you'll have no option other than breaking it now. :'(

Your cam belt  does like extreme weather. I got a sunburnt builder's bum last time. :o

That`s because Daz fitted a new "rick-roller" idler pulley! ;D

I had to prise him off the Tribute keg, to which he had become strangely attached, and send him on his way sober.  ;) ;D

It was great to have a mechanic that really understands the life-cycle of a cambelt work on my car.  :y :y ;)

Personally, I think having spoke to DLK earlier that your cambelt may have thrown him over the edge ::)

I popped up to the massive to see DLK last wednesday to have another cat fitted. Knowing he was an Astley fan, i told him about my mate who went to the O2 arena to see Peter Kay in concert and a certain Rick Astley was the warm up act. Told him how housewives were dancing in the aisles and how he was nearly mobbed at the end of his stint. Poor `ol Daz got very excited at this news. My only regret was not having a Rick Astley cd to play on the way back with him to see Josh in Oxford. ::) That would have been a small price to pay for the excellent work he done on my car.  :y

Just exactly what are you implying :-X, he's still alive, and anyway anyone thats met DLK knows a cambelt will not hold his weight even if he did go over the edge :y
