Title: Son update
Post by: I_want_an_Omega on 14 June 2011, 21:57:51
Hello all,

I thought that you might like an update.

You may recall that my lad suffered a small mishap with an IED  in Afghanistan some weeks back.

He has just had his formal rehab/physio evaluation done and will basically be away from active duty for 6 months. Sensible normal civvy recovery time would be 4 months - but to get back to combat fitness will take the extra time.

So, there you have it. Thanks so much for all the kind sentiments from some weeks ago, they were much appreciated.

Thanks - Rob

One may only imagine how it must feel to have one`s son on active service in a war zone; let alone have them seriously injured........`he and you are in my prayers! :-*

I forgot to say that he has also been re-united with the combat trousers that he was wearing at the time.  ::) He was quite chuffed when he got them back as a momento - there aint much of them left though

BA goes to DSTL @ Porton Down for analysis - they issue new and seldom give the old stuff back - would have been interesting to see though
