anyone had this bug? we've just had it and it's a PITA it won't let you do anything you try and open any internet it says you're infected and then you can click to carry on which does nothing or go to the payment page!! we had to download a spyware program from another computer and then install it through a usb stick and then re-program the registry as it had screwed that up as well!! so if you do get it be aware it aint going to be an easy fix!!(especially if you have my level of computer skills!)

Although not a pc techie, I've always partitioned my HDD.
I then instal windows on C drive and save all my personal stuff on D, E etc etc.
That way, if windows is hit/crashes or whatever and I can't fix it, I can re-install windows fresh and all my personal stuff is still there untouched...

yes it is a pita to shift
i now run malware bytes once a day to be sure
not to get it again

*Sigh*
How on earth do people click on links in ads on dodgy websites...
These are a PITA to remove, but can be done manually by anyone who understands Windows, or automatically by the anti malware tools (often need to be done from outside windows).
AND, let it be a lesson. You should NEVER EVER EVER run day-to-day as Computer Administrator (Or disable UAC on later Windows). These simple precautions would prevent this easy penetration into your PC
