Any serious boxing fans think Haye has a chance? Thought not...but I'll wait til the mugs start pouring money on Haye....let Klitschko slide out to evens then dive in :y
-
Ive got Haye to take him by 9th. Egor is too one dimensional jab,jab,jab...oh & jab - maybe a shot......nah, jab, jab, jab.
Haye has proven you can be a lighter man and still be explosive and powerful; his weight also lends to the fact that he is agile and can evade punches. Gone are the days of power punchers winning titles its all about tactics. Haye will simply use the same tactics he did to beat Valuev. Think about Evander Holyfield who was a machine, smaller than the average heavy. Clever tactics and agility will win this one for haye. Don't forget Leon Spinks v Ali. :y :y

Forgot to say, whilst neither fighter has really had a creditable opponent at heavyweight due to the decimation of the division for years, I'm looking at this fight as a clean slate. Klitschko chin? Haye chin?. Still reckon that Haye has faster hands BUT NEEDS to get inside the jab. Both guys pack a punch but Hayes agility should see him clear.

good luck with that - i seriously hope David Haye doesnt think Klitschko has a weak chin(every heavyweight facing decent opponents is going to get caught a few times)....I think reality will dawn on him early on - I think deep down, Haye knows Vladimir is head and shoulders(!) above any other heavyweight he's faced - didn't he bottle a previous encounter? I think he's starting to bottle this one - all this smoke and mirrors about the ref - just get on with it Haye - put up or shut up and good luck - you'll need it m8 ::)

I normally support British boxers but Haye comes across as a complete and utter clown.
Klitschko has proven to be far more funny and actually seems to have some intelligence and wit.
Actually hope Haye loses.

I was a huge boxing fan but then lost interest when the heavyweight division lost its way.
I have not seen either of these men fight. If the big guy can jab all night and not allow Hayes to get in then he could win. If this Hayes can move and holds some power within the punches he could cause alsorts of problems.
Size does not always win, look at The Greatest boxer the World has ever seen. Ali would punish the pair of them for round after round, then take them out as soon as he fancied.
Tyson in my opinion is the Last Great Heavyweight. I am certain he would have dealt with the pair of them too.
-
agreed - early Tyson could've won fighting both of them at once ;D

Do you remember Tommy Farr, Daz? He was a member here. ;D ;D

I worked with a guy once who claimed he was a boxing fan, who also claimed that Mike Tyson did not move. I burst out laughing and walked away. . There was just no point in discussing boxing with some who had no clue. ..

Tommy Farr is the only man as far as i know that took The Great Joe Louis 15 rounds.
He also learnt his trade in the boxing booths, where gained quite a reputation. One day a slim posh fellow with a monical said "I will take on your man Farr!" Tommy Farr had a proper boxing lesson that day. Apparantly it was Gentleman Jim who gave it him. The Man of Courage is a very good book Steve if you get chance to read it. :y

Looks like all agreed that there has been no decent Heavyweight since Tyson..........until now.
Some say he could annihilate the Daleks, Dr Who and the Cyberman, if he could be bothered........all we know is - he's called the Haymaker ;D

My father in law was into boxing in a big way, one of his heros was Harry Greb, apparently he would fight anything that was put infront of him and 9 times out of 10 beat them.

He fought people from several different weights youth. I am sure giving away several stone over at times. Big boxing critics rate him as one of the top five greats.
:y
Pretty sure he was the guy who fought blind in one eye... I will need to check now ;)

I have been watching both fighters on youtube for a while now...
I would like Haye to win but being honest I think the Big Guy will win. He seemed to cause Lewis all sorts of trouble. Seems he can take a banging although white guys always seem to cut bad. He is also a heavy hitter too.
Lets hope Haye can dance around trying to land some punches on him ::)
-
We have a cracking bouncer in town....Ernie Shavers who went 12 rounds with Ali and was allegedly robbed of a points victory. Really nice guy who must be 70 odd but I still wouldn't fancy my chances, talk about a handshake :'( ;D!
Haye will be gone inside 7 rounds!

It seems there are two Brothers..... Vladimir did not fight Lewis his brother did ;D how confusing ;D ;D ;D ;D
