Owner of plate, Mr Clarke, says "I can't imagine why anyone would be offended by it"...

Really?

Is his imagination really that limited??

The bloke is a dickhead, and I hope he DOESN'T get his money back... >:(

He's a PI11 OCK, but I've seen worse.

There's a new store opening in a shopping mall in Wakefield (The Ridings), Madhouse it's called. I glanced through the window to see what kind of stuff they'd be selling, only to be greeted with a tee shirt saying "F*** O**!, I've got enough friends" Very tasteful, I'm sure.
If I saw someone wearing that on a Saturday afternoon in town, I would rip it off his back.

Is your thought process so limited that you didn't stop to think that some people may be offended by your choice of word to describe Mr Clarke?  ;)

I'm sure you would, after you have decided whether you are likely to win or lose the ensuing dispute that would no doubt take place.  ;D

If Mr Clarke himself is offended, I'll be very pleased.
Much worse gets posted on here - if you yourself say you're offended by my mild choice of derogative, then I do apologise to you. I suspect you aren't tho, and are having a dabble with the Devil's Advocate role.

Fun, isn't it?  8-)

I don't think there is a word in the english dictionary that would truly offend me, but there are folk who get offended by words that are in daily use (eg, "crap").

I myself struggle to see how a mere word can cause offence regardless of what it is, especially as some words are only deemed offensive because that is what we have been led to believe from day one.

A lot of words are delivered with the deliberate intention of causing offense so I very much doubt they are innocuous.

As for the number plate, I've seen OBO 110X many years ago and I hear it's still going.  VERY little difference in my view.

I too hope he wins his case but I doubt it very much.
This is just one of the reasons I managed to 'escape' our once great country, now nothing more than nanny state, being told what you can and can't do for fear of offending........anyone????? >:(
