I had arround 150 visiters from England yesterday on a steam train. Only could took 3 pictures of it because they were very old and helping them took me too much time.
-
Sounds good, do you work with the trains / station?

Yes, the 4th generation in my family. As a ticket controller - but an easy going good one ;D

Nobody likes steamers from my coworkers, so I choose to work there as a passenger "safety boss" as a relaxation

Some new pics from today. Steam locomotive made in 1942 in Germany for suporting German troops in Russia. Bigger is better, 1500 bhp out of solid steel. Real beauty

4 wheel coaches are interesting.
Middle sized loco at 1500hp similar to a Hall or Black 5 in power.
Our biggest push out over 3000 dbhp (LMS Duchesses, LNER A1, LNER A4, BR 8P, BR 9F for definate Merchant Navy possible).
As noted me only have one really powerful frieght loco

On Saturday morning I saw this heading into over towards Maylebone from Paddington:

Beautifull machine, similar to our 06-018 which is still in repair (4 years!) :'(
-
SZ 06-018 tekalna (can't paste link, put this into youtube's search field there she is)
-
Oliver Cromwell, very nice loco. The last Steam train to operate a passenger service in the UK.
I have thrown a few shovels of coal on that one!

It was just warming up when I saw it, the loco plus about 10 coaches was being pulled by what looked like 37 over towards Maylebone. Very nice looking and sound even when just idling!
