Hi everyone, has anyone ever had to put up with an neighbour who is a complete assole, as mine is.
Over the years things have gone from bad to worse, but last night was the limit, about 7 o/clock knock on the door,it was him,I've come to complain about you storing stuff at the top of your garden, alongside my garage,eg planks ladder and roof tiles.
I told him, what I do on my property is up me and bugger all to do him,it's a eyesore he said.
Now let me explain that to see into my garden he must first look over a 6 foot panel fence, the above mentioned stuff is stored between the garages,so what the hell is his problem.
We have had a dispute over our boundary fence for a few years,my deeds show that it is his,but he denies that it is,he is the absolute bullshitter and liar

When I moved into my current house the deeds said fences both sides were mine. They weren't but probably were when the house was new!

dont get me started,i want to seriously pummel my neighbours face for 3 solid hours and afterwards do it again >:(

I have really good neighbours. In fact, the entire road is full of nice people :y

Just as well, the way we take over their driveway :-X ::)
Mine. One side is great, the other is just a grumpy git. Used to be fine but he's not really spoken to me for about 18 months now, even blanking us when we speak to him! :o :o
He reckons we're noisy but he's not as quiet as he thinks ;) Neighbours the other side say we're so quiet they only know if we're home by the cars ;D
Oh... And the grumpy git is slowly moving where he parks further forward (i assume to try and wind us up ::))... He's currently half way along our spare room ;D ;D He'll get a shock soon though as I might just park behind him (outside his lounge) if we have a house full!

Don't get me started on this subject... When we moved in 4 years ago all the houses were owned and lived in. But as people sell they get bought by developers and then rented out to tenants who dont give a flying Fk!!
>:(
-
Our neighbours are great both sides, having a beer with both yesterday whilst having a Barbie :y
-
I never see, or hear my neighbours which is a shame. It's always nice to know there is someone you can rely on in an emergency, or just to have a natter with when the mood takes you.
-
I have excellent neighbours and we all know each other pretty well several houses either side. In fact I am a little fragile from another one of out parties. We take it in turns to host a party and ply each other with very large amounts of booze. Yesterday's 12 hour session will take some getting over

you have hit the nail on the head there...thats the problem around here as tennants dont give a flying $%^&...need to live in the middle of a field(in a house by the way lol) with no neighbours :y
-
.... He's currently half way along our spare room ;D ;D ......
It was bad enough when our previous neighbour parked outside our house all day, but I'd draw the line if he parked in our spare room! ;D ;D ;D

We live in a semi-detached bungalow with our spare room adjoining his property ;)
What makes me laugh is that he's on his own and has a perfectly good driveway which he never uses ::) ;D

Maybe you are the bad neighbour, but dont realise it. :D ;D ;D :D
-
I've only meet two of my neighbours on my floor, both nice people. Generally everyone in the building are nice, never had any issues with noise or anything
-
I'm dead lucky - my whole street is really friendly. You can't take the rubbish out or clean the car without getting into an half hour chat with someone!! :y

I'm sure they speak equally well of you.

You may jest...
...this evening my neighbour I share the drive with knocked on the door complaining my car smelt rancid/toxic :-[
A bucket of water over the front wheels stopped the smoke, and reduced the smell significantly ::)

Moved into my house about 15months ago and my neighbours are gems, However our last house he had an 8ft conifer hedge along my drive and it kept scratching my car so i had words with him and he said o k cut it, so i did nice neet job cleared up next thing i know solicitors letter saying i have damaged his property stupidly i took the hedge cuutings down the tip i should have given them back!!!!!
Pain in the ar** was that when we left the house we had to declare a neighbour dipute.

i moved to the middle of nowhere to get rid of rubbish ones, it doesnt work, went through loads of rubbish over planning permision for a boundary wall, thats between me and a national speed limit road, oposite a field. bloke half a mile away didnt think a renderd wall painted the same colour as the renderrd house thats been here since 1890 was in keeping.
it goes on and on and on lol
-
I've just got in from a curry with the next-door neighbour. She invited the previous owner, the neighbour the other side, and the couple across the road.
Excellent evening. :y
-
I have neighbours both sides and rear, we objected strongly to the build behind us, was a field, but the people who have moved in seem OK
Small village so everyone is our neighbour, the problem is when you get chatting, goes on for some time...... :D :D :D

Some good some bad
One person put every house through a system to see if there was any issues. :o :o :o :o
Parking is major issue - van parking in the way was solved by damaging it - cost me two years NCB about 7 years ago. >:( >:(

It's nice to see that I'm not alone in a dispute with next door neighbours, but the problem with mine started over 25 years ago.
When I first moved in,he told me that the fence between me and him was mine, ok with that.
BUT when the mortgage was paid up and I got the deeds,I found that that side of the boundary was his .
He will not accept this, mainly because of the cost involved in replacing the panel fenceing(7 panels+posts+labour) its falling apart because he wo'nt maintain his side.
The only way to sort this is to seek legal help, but that going to be costly,I only wish he was 15 years younger, and then I could deck the B-----d.

have you rang your house insurance? i did about a problem thats still on-going with mine, and got free legal.
I do have deeds and theres a few caviets? its a bit anouying having to share access over my land to his garage, and same having my septic tank in his garden, issues with fences moving over my land (council came and kindly pointed out where tehy should be, let alone my house is painted a foot past the fence....) then theres just loads of petty things.
I obviously didnt buy the right house, but my mortgage was only portable for 6 months in which time i rented to see what the market was doing, its a nice house in a very nice area and luckily since i bought it it hasnt dropped in value and was valued slightly more then i paid. so once the latest issues are sorted most likely going to move. theres about 4 houses here nd im surrounded by acre's of fields, but its a semi. i obviously need to go back to detached living ;D

Try having a pigeon fanatic as a neighbour.Turning into an obsession 8 am to 10 pm.Just don,t see the point of letting a pigeon out only to try and get it back in again and again.Nice guy but wearing a bit thin!Plus three cats have disappeared locally.

hire a cment mixer,,fill with bucket of water and then plop a few bricks in,,plug in at 8 am in the morning and un plug at 9.pm at night..the noise is very annoying, then also you can do nice things like pay the local kids to collect as much dog poop as posible and chuck it over the 6ft fence and deny you had anything to do with it,,if all that fails find some one with a drag bike, and and at 11pm every night start it up and bounce the rev needle off the red line for 30 seconds then run and hide ;D :y
-
What a great idea Newbie,I already have a mixer! and guess where I keep it,Yes around the other side of the garage.
Popped into my solicitors this morning to get a costing on this issue, around £50+vat for the first letter. A previous post suggested home insurance legal help,a good idea to try first I think.
Thanks everyone for their input.
Alfie
PS won't be around from tomorrow,I,ll be in Ibiza for a week,so with a little bit of luck he will have second thoughts about his attitude.
bye

My neighbours are great, except the one on the left thinks i am building an aeroplane in his garage.
-
Guess i'm lucky. Bought the place over 9 years ago & neighbours could'nt be nicer even when i used to have guitar nights or fill the road & pavements with Migs when we held "Amigo house invasions"! 8-)
-
Mine are fine, except the retired bloke over the road has started giving me dirty looks. I suspect it's because I haven't had time to do any gardening this year whereas he trims his hedge with a pair of nail scissors every morning. :-[
-
3good neighbours and the other chavs are in court next week due to be evicted nuff said....
-
With the exception of 1, my neighbours are the biggest bunch of self centred butt munchers around...

I have a little bit of that from next door, both sides fully retired, not a problem, just that I do not have the time that they have........ :( :(
