Title: with the weather not being great shall I take
Post by: Darth Loo-knee on 06 July 2011, 14:57:06
Our big tent which will be able to get a few of us in it incase the weather does decide to piss down? It is also 5000 HH so we should be dry, just takes a while to put it up.
Or are we ok under gazebo's like normal?

The Greenhouse is coming, at Mrs TB's request, so the OOF Widows have somewhere to sit should it get wet.

I have no room for a Gazebo, but a couple of those should suffice. If its really bad, we can take over Glassback's static for the evening :P

The Greenhouse, aka The Anderson Shelter, is my preferred tent, as its big enough to stand up in, and move around. Just takes ages to put up and pull down.

Easily fit in the omega, as long as your not camping and have all the other gear to bring, personally think it would be a goo idea to purchase one for the annual meets :y

At last the truth from ya  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

And yet that puzzles me, not just you mate so don't take it as personal. But when people enjoy the forum for whatever reason, be it the Help Section, Chat Area's they still don't venture to the Meets for a great time far better than online. :-/

I honestly cant see the attraction. A couple of hours at a local meet is ok, if Ive got nothing else urgent on that day, but a whole weekend....................nah ! :-?
I suppose some of you have made good long term friendships with other people on the forum, so its understandable that you all like to meet up with each other. :y

I find it well worth the 350 mile trip (each way) for the meets.

Think of the funniest, most enjoyable evening online with Pinky at the helm... Then (at least) double it for the amount of fun had :y

Then add in the beer and....

..... Hmmmm beer ::) ::) ;D ;D :y :y

I dont feel bad at all. I dont really drink, Im not keen on crowded places, I dont like to talk about cars for hours on end, and I cant stand sleeping in tents or caravans.
Im not a particularily social animal I suppose. I tend to spend time with a small circle of good friends who have completely different interests and viewpoints to me, and I enjoy that.
But as I said, if its a group of people who are good friends from various parts of the country who enjoy spending time with each other, then fair enough, if thats what you enjoy. :y
