Title: Have a good time!
Post by: Nickbat on 07 July 2011, 09:18:31
Best wishes to all those going to the Lakes meet. :y

Having two young kids and a working SWMBO means I cannot get away for these things, but it sounds like you'll all have fun...

..and to think I could have had my leaking valve stem seals fixed for a can or two of Stella.  ;) ;D ;D ;D

Can understand that - the big 2 of Keswick and Newent are reasonably central for a good proportion, start getting to extremes like Cornwall and its a lot harder to get the attendance.

For me, Newent is just down the road - 1.5hrs tops, assuming no hold-ups.

I reckon St Ives to Newent is doable in 2.5hrs, outside of rush hours...

I shouldn;t worry.  The boring gits will spend more time on their SmartPhones checking out OOF than having fun.   :P

Have a good time at the Lakes, to everyone thats going  :y

I went the first year and since decided its too much like a 'busmans' holiday for me ... 5-6hrs travel time each way

Tho i'll be going to Newent hopefully  :)

Desperately trying to find somewhere close, but at the sea (looking at Weston atm) for a weekend away.
Dont think i can do my usual week long trip to Dorset this year due to work commitments  :(
