Title: EVENT SHELTER.....................
Post by: MikeDundee on 07 July 2011, 08:02:22
......Just found this at argos for £100 quid,

http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500002701&langId=-1&searchTerms=COLEMAN+EVENT+SHELTER

a pure steal :y, as most other places have them from 130 to 180, ABS had 3 of these at Billing, and they are quite big, and good value aswell, so should keep us out the wet for them late drinking sessions :y

The consensus of opinion is that OOF will purchase a shelter for use at meets.

So I will grab one at lunchtime.

Tried calling him, some slurred scottish accent voice mail and no reply at the moment!

I have one reserved ready (it matters not if the reservation lapses)

I have something in the car similar to Ian had at the detailing meet in, in ... Er high Wycombe? was it?

Semi automatic traditional sized gazebo type thing. Not sure if it's needed, but as there's room (so far) I though may as well lob it in.

Got to pack the rest of the food, cloths, bedding etc yet. But should be ok.

Well....On seeing one, we immediately decided we wanted another, so got Mark to pick one up as well.

Seams dripped a bit in the rain - they prob wont next time, and if they do, quick squirt of fabsil and job done.

they really were exactly what we needed, a good investment, esp at the argos price  :y

Well after reading this with interest I went and bouight one yesterday in Argos Ireland.
I've got a metal cantilever type gazebo which is very good but heavy and a bit of a pain to erect single handed but this one looks the business and is a better size.
Having trouble finding the side panels though many suppliers seem to be sold out .
Thanks to MD for the heads up on this though .  :y
