doesnt sound good :(
Is your wii set to automatically detect settings, or have you given it a static address with everything hard coded?  Ive found the latter to be more reliable.
or are the problems more than just wii related?

who is your isp?  some, bt for instance, will further improve reliability at the expense of some speed

Just changed to BT a few days ago so it's still in the "testing" phase and varies with speed and reliability ::)

Plus, trying out the BT Home Hub 3 but think I'll be using it as a paperweight and going back to my existing router which is much more reliable ::)

Which I assume means you're on the HH3 as well?

I've found it frustrating and things struggling to connect, in particular the phones >:( >:(

Was planning to just use it as an access point and use my other router in the lounge so I can have wired connection to TV, DVD and Wii but may do it the other way around ::)

Might be I have to plug my old modem/router into the HH3 so I'm using the HH as access point but the better (IMO) wireless router for the home network

Gotta be worth a try..

I know the HH2's had a bad rep, but the 3's are meant to be ok.

Mind you, it doesn't explain why the phones seem to muck about and never connect properly first time :-/ :-/

Should probably just sort out the other wireless router as the wireless access point and use the HH as a pure access point :-/

I still think the HH3 is a pile of junk.  For straight surfing, it seems OK, although wifi is, surprisingly, quite poor on it, esp with G-only devices.

Any advanced use of the router side of things causes the thing to either lock up or restart. Not that it can do much thats advanced.

TBH, that seems to be the general consensus... If you have a half decent wireless router use that for wireless access and use the HH3 purely as an modem/access point (to comply with BT T&C's)

Its a shite modem as well.

In summary:
Modem = shite
Router = shite
Wifi = shite (esp with G-only devices)
