Hi peeps, does anyone know the speed limit for pulling a caravan in the UK? I thought it was 60 for m-way, 60 for dual carriageway, 50 single, then as signed. That's what I got told when I did my trailer license.
My caravan has got a 50 sticker on the rear, and is dated from well before I did my trailer test, which seems to contradict this. Why have a sticker showing a speed limit lower than what's permissable?
Thanks

You are right - BTW used to be 40 on A roads that is what the 50 is for - must be old

Yeah it is old, very old! Thanks for info! Couldn't imagine myself going that slow!

Just paint a 1 in front of the 5. :y ;D

I might bodge it into an 8! Then if I get stopped by the police for speeding, I'll just tell them it's ok, look it says there!

Peel it off
BTW when I was 14 I went to France and they had dual 80 50 limits and I honestly thought they were km/h mph but they weren't.
Oh and on a trip to Ireland I liked their 100mph limit until our customer said it was km/h. Whole line of cars doing over 80 on an A road equivalent.
