The little MX-5 is apparently one of THE great drivers car.

It really is a shame that it has such a girlie/gay/hairdresser image. Mrs Opti has two girlfriends who both own and love the MX-5.......Mrs Opti wants one too.

They do appear to be quite gender specific cars... ::) ::) ;)

There are a few "girls only" cars in my opinion besides the MX5.

Honda S2000........Fiat X1/9 (remember them?).......Alfa spyder.....Triumph Spitfire......MGB.....4 pot Omega... ::) ::) ::) ::)

I dont think s2000 or alfa spider is girlish..

many mornings going to job seen small women lost in the drivers seat of hummers, Q7s, infinities or X5..

and I dont think those women become alpha male by driving those.. imo prooves they have deep inferiority complex ;D

I believe that Mazda looked at the old Emma Peel Elan when they first thought about the design of the MX5..... :y

Another brilliant driver's car with a girlie image. :y

Oi !  I had an X1/9 - it was quite nippy actually, but I went through a puddle one day by accident and it disintegrated as I drove along  :-[

Dunno about the later ones but all the Mk1's rotted the rear sill & wheel arch.

  It's a weak point but easily fixxed. Just welded one side on mine, took minutes! 8-)
