been there a few times myself. i remember one time when the owner came out from the kitchen with a great lump of meat over his arm when my  bro, in-law asked if he could see 72oz so,s he had an idea what he was letting himself into before ordering,  ::) do you still get the t-shirt if you manage one.  :)

:o 72 ouncer... strange that there has been no reply from the veggie brigade...bet if you wrote that into the Leicester Mercury you would get a fast response from the ever spouting E A, a lady who hates all  meat eaters with a vengeance (wonder why she does not hate herself? she must be made of veggie stuff I think) :D

We were in a steakhouse in Harrogate years ago and they rang a bell and paraded the 72 oz joint around the restaurant before setting it down in front of the young fellow. It was free if you finished it which he did. His girlfriend just ate a lettuce leaf as far as we could tell. :o :o

I managed a 40oz T-bone steak in Las Vegas about 15 years ago,  :y but the big American sized side dishes of chips and salad did defeat me.  :D

I doubt if I could do it now as as I've got older my appetite and the amount I can eat in a single session has decreased.  :'(

A 72oz steak sounds like they just cut off it horns, wipe its butt and stick it on the grill.  ;D ;D ;D ;D
