I was just about to post the same thing, same title and all. ;D
Tbh, I think its always been obvious from the way the film is edited that it isnt him driving a lot of the time.
It will be interesting to see what he says about it though. ;)

I was trying to be ironic ,but the it dos'nt really transpose very well ::) ::) ::)
-
As above ...........
You don't say!! ;) ;) ;) ;)

Typical Daily Mail. Read that for a week and start looking your own rope, infuriatingly depressing paper with a German sense of humor.
Clarckson still writes for the Sun I take it? And The Mail believes that old Granny and Golden retriever really did drive that Lambo up the runway. Yeah, wotever! ;D

if you look at the shots (speedo & revs climbing) switch to Clarkson shot, then back to speedo, its clear they shot those separately as there is no camera in front of the dash!
Its clear things are faked, but I just sit back and enjoy the show :)

:P A cunning stunt!?!? ::)

That's show business :y

Had to read that twice..... :o

Hahaha!
But it is like when they won a best unscripted award in the states and then preceeded to read from their scripts! Or the number of time a caravan catches in fire!! Its a TV programme, not the gospel. ;D

its easy to say ''its obvious he doesn't do the driving''.............. so why has no one ever mentioned this possibility at all until now.
maybe im easily duped but it looks like clarkson to me.
so does aaron whatever-his-name-is drive for the hampster too?! :-/

I honestly did think it was Clarkson, and still do to some extent, and he seems to have come out with an argument in the Daily Mirror too.

agreed, i never doubted it was him driving.
what about all those times when hes haring it round the track in a race with the stig? clarkson seems to do very well in these "duels" and undoubtably can handle a car, so i cant see him peeing his pants approaching 200mph

I like TG but know to take it with a pinch of salt, it's just bubble gum telly & not to be taken any more seriously than a cartoon.
The one way to be sure when JC is driving is when he loses it.....he does'nt even try to get it back just keeps his foot planted until the whole shebang disappears in tyre/clutch smoke, completely out of control & dips the clutch when he's had enough.
A real or stand in driver would do that... Clarkson does. ::)

To be clear, Jeremy performs all of the challenges you see him perform on Top Gear

Oh no he doesn't, a recent show had a reliant robin end up in the canal, upside down, with no hope of anyone getting out. Somehow he did ....

The thing is, it is not a documentary or the news, it is an entertainment programme. You wouldn't launch into a tyraid agains Casulty because the blood they use isn't real, or that the whole programme has been faked. It isa just something to complain about. I still like the show, though it hasn't been at its best of late. It doesn't bother me that some of the situations have been concocted!

You can stick the supercars...terribly sorry old boy, I am a little tired. I like the challenges where they're each given a budget to buy some old donker each.
These are usually in cars we can relate to & set in similar surroundings.
