Car 1967, or thereabouts, at the fifth attempt.
Never been on a motorised 2-wheeler of any sort, and don't intend to start now.
But I'd absolutely love to learn to drive a bus! I assume it costs quite a lot to learn, so I'm unlikely to ever achieve that ambition. However, if I ever win the lottery, I'd advise you all to keep well away from Suffolk. :) :) :)

My brother was given one by my FIL to be. If only they had been as reliable & rust free as they were innovative. It must've been one of the first 5 speed hatchbacks on the road.

Car test 1996 - passed first time, just, with 11 minor faults! Despite my driving instructor saying that I wasn't ready and shouldn't expect to pass.
No bike test as apparently I have too many responsibilities to be riding a motorbike! :(
If I ever had the money I'd love to drive HGV too.
I've also contemplated doing the advanced driving course. :y

-
Passed both bike & car first time in 1982.
Bike test (the original) was 10 days after I turned 17, and car test (drive anything up to 7.5 tonne, including trailers) was 4 weeks after that.
First car at 17 was a 1977 3 litre Granada Ghia with manual box, insurance was £200 for the year TPFT, and I got £20 back when I notified the insurance I had passed my test.
I suspect these days if a 17 year old on a provisional license wanted to insure something similar they would be laughed off the phone, so it doesn't surprise me that there are so many out there without insurance.
-
I've also contemplated doing the advanced driving course.
Absolutely no reason not-to, Ljay......and several insurance companies offer significant reductions for 'advanced-pass' motorists! :y

The RoSPA test is tougher, and unlike the advanced driving test (which once passed is for life), it has to be re-sat every 3 years.

Car 1956, in a 1955 Ford Popular
Bike 1956 RAF Triumph TRW, 500cc sidevalve twin. http://motorbike-search-engine.co.uk/classic_bikes/Triumph_TRW_1955.jpg
1956 RAF truck licence on a 3.5ton Magirus Deutz, air-cooled diesel. These were superb vehicles, and I even used one to tow a Beverley a/c once, using the optional low ratio box, and IIRC, 4wd.

Car test: 11 July 1988. Used my mum's mk2 Cavalier as the instructor's had just been written off for the second time in a year! Remember the date as it was the day before my 18th birthday, although it was the second test I took.
Bike test: no, far too much of a wuss, and I've picked up too many fatal bike crashes.
HGV test: tempted, haven't spent the money yet.
Cycling proficiency anyone? We did it in the road outside the school(and they still do it in the same place, although with more hi-viz) when I was 9. Wish I'd never brought it up now, feel really old.

I didn't do it, didn't learn to ride a bike till high school! :( And, as those of you who know how clumsy I am can imagine, it's not something I'm too good at! ::) ;D
I think the cycling proficiency lessons round here just teach kids how to look the other way whilst cycling in front of cars. I reckon the advice is.....if you don't look at the driver, they can't hit you! >:(

Forgot about that one - some time around 1988 I imagine.. taught to ride the right distance from the kerb, not on footpaths, and so on.. did it in the school playground with lots of cones and white lines IIRC!
That whole 'not riding on footpaths' thing seems to have gone the way of the dodo, though, from what I see these days.
-
Past bike 1961, Car 1971 both First time :y
Past gliding proficiency test 1960 ::) ::) ::)
P.S
Past my bike test in Loughborough, on way home stopped under a bridge, ripped the L plates off the bike and tore then up into little pieces and throw them into the air, watched them fall to the ground, when a voice behind me said " past your test have you" turned round and it was a copper, made me pick every last piece up.
