Ah, but actually there is something in it.

I certainly deal with more idiots and druken fools on a full moon than any other night. I would suggest our force statistics would agree with those in the article

There is documented proof, (SWMBO had it for some project or another a few years ago.), that human behaviour is affected by the lunar cycles. Hence why derranged people are referred to as Lunatics.

This is where the myth of the werewolf evolved.

The reason there is higher violence and crime rates during full moons is because it provides additional lighting in order to do it. At least, thats my logical man brain thinking on this.
