Doesnt surprise me tbh. My old ginger tom saw off every dog that it came across. It only came unstuck when it tried taking on a pair of lurchers, and they got hold of an end each.Dont know how it survived. ::)

cats normally dont attack dogs without reason.. but if they have babies around they can be extremely dangerous.. I see several times, big dogs loosing  the fight and running away..

Cats are bloody evil when provoked,I'd much rather deal with a pissed off dog

I never saw our cat attack anything but the big dogs that were walked past our house used to cross the road when he was outside. :-[

Dad had a knock on the door one evening.  Bloke stood there with a German Shepherd, which was dripping with blood.  Apparently Dads cat had attacked the dog.  Oops!
Personally I don't think I'd have admitted that my big dog had been savaged by a cat.  ::)

My daughter in the States has a Siberian Husky and her partner has a Boxer/Pit Bull crossbreed. She also has a cat which is a Norwegian Forest cat crossed with a Maine Coon (the cats mother was a slut!!) The cat is the spawn of the devil and regularly gives the dogs a good pasting. In the evening she goes out collecting souls for her master!!
