Title: Geo-engineering madness
Post by: Nickbat on 01 September 2011, 15:01:30
Britain has just had its coolest summer for 20 years, likewise Irleand, Czech Republic and others. The first snow of the new season fell in the Cairngorm mountains at the weekend...and yet:

The eventual plan is for a helium balloon the size of Wembley Stadium to be tethered 14 miles above the Earth by a giant hose, which will pump out tonnes of chemical particles into the stratosphere...

...The problem is that we don't really know what would happen and weather systems are incredibly complex.

'We don't understand enough about the day-to-day or month-to-month changes in weather to know what impact it could have on monsoons in other parts of the world and that has the potential to cause untold misery.

So, if it's so risky and unnecessary, why do it?

Backed by a £1.6million government grant...

Ah yes. Money is more important than nature.  >:(

This is what happens when quack scientists are funded for their pre determined beliefs on AGW rather than brilliant scientists who do not conform to it, when is this lunacy going to end?. >:( >:( >:(
