State control for its own sake.Very dangerous. Now that Nu Liebore are history, this type of thing should be consigned to the rubbish bin where it belongs. The idiots who think up this nonsense are the type of "public servants" who should now be at the back of the dole queue. >:(

This is a rare case, in my experience, I know of adoptive and foster carers who smoke......
The advice may be not to smoke in the company of the children but surly you can not prevent a good family from offering a home to a child, for this reason ONLY...... :-/ :-/ :-/

We need to do away with most of the state tbh. Proper conservatism is the way ahead for the country, with only a handful of core functions carried out by the state and civil servants, who wouldn't be the numerous little Hitler power hungry legalised scroungers they are, and understand that they are only there to rubber stamp the decisions made by the people. Unfortunately most people don't seem to question the authority of local government and accept their shite as if it's gospel, when from personal experience i know they're a bunch of cowboys who don't know their arse from their elbow.
Vote UKIP! 8-)

...thought honesty was the best policy...
Well, that's his first mistake. When dealing with idiots like this you tell them what they want to hear, I'm afraid.
I've always wondered how many more kids (adopted or otherwise) are now exposed to smoking given that adults can't do it down the pub any more (or practically anywhere else other than in the home, in front of their kids). ::)

You can lead a bureaucrat to water but you can't ever make him think, and he will NEVER ever make a decision ::) ::) :o :o :D :D

Please explain just what the seat polishing, pencil counting, tea swilling, cake gobbling, unintelligable w*nkers who are the public servants that enjoy many perks we normal people can only dream of are supposed to do as a job?
It looks as if the majority opinion is that none of them have a job that actually benefits the tax payers?
The solution would be to make them all, from the top to the bottom re-apply for their jobs and have we, the taxpayers, interview them for suitability. Their salaries should be the basic wage and the pensions and perks they have should be financed by their own salaries. They call that an even playing field I believe.
Its also a pipe dream....but a lovely one ;D ;D ;D ;D
Come to think of it why are so many I have been seen by of such (politely) generous proportions (but are factually, obese)?
;)

So because of these rather PC brigade do gooder's, they are depriving a child of potential loving and caring foster parents because he smoked 2 cigars in the last year - well what a bad man, he should be locked up for such unreasonable behaviour! These do gooder's make me sick. >:(
