I wear glasses for reading & PC work and am forever leaving them around the house. As a result, they have become badly scratched. Right, I thought, I'll try a gentle rubbing with some compound to remove the scratches......FAILl!
I forgot they had an anti-glare coating, so now they're worse. I just wish I could take the coating off entirely, but it looks like I must go and get a new pair (and go through the old mince pie test again...grrr!).
Not a happy bunny. >:( ;)

No need to pay more than £1 a pair for off the shelf reading glasses Nick. Treat yourself to a pair for each room..... :y

No good, Opti, as I'm astigmatic. Still, I found my prescription from a year or so ago and have ordered up a new pair on t'interwebby. :y
Actually, aside from the scratches, I have recently found one lens falling out and have had to rescrew the frame back together again. There's nowt worse than picking up a pair of glasses with one lens in and then trying to read something. First instinct is OMG, what's wrong with me? Second is, FFS, the lens has fallen out again! Hands and knees search job. ;) ;D
