Title: Amethyst iPig
Post by: Nickbat on 16 September 2011, 18:30:53
Bought one of these for Miss Nickbat last year and, since yesterday reviving her iPod from the unfortunate accident involving the washing machine, I have been playing stuff on it while I work.

I have to say to anyone considering buying an iPig that it is simply unbelievable. To look at it you'd think the sound would be rubbish, but it would put more expensive docking stations to utter shame. :y :y

And it seems the overwhelming majority of Amazon customers agree.

(Posted while listening to Jupiter from the Planets Suite  on the iPig :y )

Motion Picture Experts Group - I imagine mp3 was designed to be an audio codec for MPEG-1 & MPEG-2 digital video formats.

Incidentally, JPEG is the Joint Photographic Experts Group.

It was actualy a standalone development for audio only and was created by two guys at the Fraunhofer institue in Germany.

It was tongue in cheek! I use Spotify which I suspect has an element or three of MP3 about it.

I can truthfully say I have never knowingly seen an Amethyst iPig or indeed any of its country brethren. I did see a wild boar recently though  :y
