Title: Trade card
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 18 September 2011, 15:38:10
I'm toying with  the idea of purchasing a Trade card. The £20 annual fee should give me access to many  good value Vauxhall products. The 4 for 3 offer on oil seems especially tempting.

My problem is this. I don't think that my local Vauxhall dealer (only nine miles from us) will let me use it. Can they opt out of the Trade Card scheme if they want to......or do they have to accept it?

Any idea? :y

I * believe* dealers have the choice to participate in the trade club scheme  :y

So they can choose to reject it  :(

Actually do you mean the "Trade Club" as in Vx own, or Autobahnstomers? The ABS card has to be accepted as its a standard trade card. TC is optional as those prices are lower than normal trade  :y

This one  (I think). The one that gives the LOWEST POSSIBLE prices.

I thought that TC and ABS card were one and the same. Apparently not. :y

Anything I`ve bought that`s listed on the TC site, I`ve paid the TC price with an ABS card :y

The ABS card is a "Trade Club" card, giving Trade Card prices from participating dealers - list of dealers on TC site.
Does not give you trade prices on parts not covered by Trade Club - although most dealers will give trade prices on non TC parts.

When I first joined the Fourm I also (re)joined ABS and got the trade club card.

I have bought a fair bit from Charles Warners in Lincoln.

The guy now recognises me "hello Mr Stormer" he says and gives me the discount even though my card expired almost a year ago now  :-X
