Title: galaxy s2 users help wanted

just tried to download a few pictures ive taken to the computer but it says it requires a disc and even though my phone was new it did not come with a disc so how do you get round this?

dropbox! Sod the crappy software they give you. Install dropbox on your phone and computer, press upload and it uploads it to dropbox for you, then use it on the computer, i use it all time for photos on here :)

I've  the s2 just plug the lead in and copy and paste . only take a few mins.  :y

yep.. as STMO said download kies.. when you install the driver and reboot the pc next time you dont need anything to connect them..

It cannot be used as a Mass Storage device? That would be the easiest way to copy the pics to your pc ...

thanks for the replys just conneted the phone again and its worked straight away, so maybe i was in to much of a hurry.

if you cut or delete files from it directly, be sure to stop usb port properly or your file system will have problems later..

ps: also it may have downloadded a suitable driver for your device while you are trying.. xp generally tries to install a device driver first time you connect and messages you that its ready..

pps: in kies there is a section that you stop the device and close its related files

You can do lots more with kies, save all your contacts etc
