thinking of sorting a nw meet out. would anybody be up for it. havent got a location sorted yet as think it would be better to find somewhere central for every 1. all welcome.

Yep, Chester is about 22 miles from me and Heaton Park is about 30 ish miles. How far are you from Heaton Park? ;D

It must have changed a bit then, when I had my scooter in the late 70's early 80's it was bedlam down there ::) ;D

right then. have been looking at the oof map for a little while and it would appear that to be fair to most northwest members that the warrington/ lymm area would be most central for a meet. if any body can suggest any places it would be a great help or if you have an alternative please post it up. as for heaton park, apparently any gatherings of motor cars/bikes and generally any groups get moved on rather quickly. shame as its a nice place.

Sorry Andy but i'd never attend a pub meet in the winter. I don't mind not drinking but can't smoke now either. Ok in the summer when we can sit outside but to sit in a pub & not drink or smoke goes against the grain. Will all the Sierras still be parked outside????? 8-)

on the pic of the 3 arrows there appears to be 2 sierra's 1 granada,an orion and a fiesta park outside. must of been a scrappers meet going on. ;D ;D

I know a lot of car clubs have meets at Winwick Key/Quay(?). Never been so can't say what its like but guess someone from near there will know, (they will know the name as well :) )

winwick quay is popular for meets with other clubs
it's basicly a pub that serves food . its just off the m56 ( near gullivers world ) not very good in winter unless you just want to sit in the pub as the car park is exposed and bloody freezing :-/ :-/

Never been just seen car club meets advertised there. Saying that they may have been summer events. Thats why local knowledge is best ;)

we went there with vectra-sport last february on the way back from lyme park in stockport . we were supposed to meet up with vvoc , but by the time we got there , they'd all cleared off as it was freezing ::) ::)

so we gonna go for chester services then. i've most weekends free at the moment.

I could knock a batch up on saturday in a big pot & bring another pot & water to boil rice, disposable plates forks etc. We could manage but security won't like it as we're supposed to waste money in there. Naff all they can do about that except enforce the 2 hour free parking rule before charging us.
We could all drive to the forecourt, stick a fiver in, drive back, gives us 2 hrs to get the curry on. Shoot up to the next junction & back if need be, reckon we can get away with it? 8-) :D

If we get turfed off we could nip up Helsby Hill about 2 miles away, fantastic views of cheshire/wirral and a big car park ;)

Did toy with the idea of towing the van down for a laugh, but its a bit far for my first run out I think! :o
Having said that, it would mean we could use the gas cooker for the curry ::) ;D

I could knock a batch up on saturday in a big pot & bring another pot & water to boil rice, disposable plates forks etc. We could manage but security won't like it as we're supposed to waste money in there. Naff all they can do about that except enforce the 2 hour free parking rule before charging us.

It used to be nicknamed Hamburger Hill. In the 80s/early 90s loads of people used to meet up there after the clubs had shut and continue to party ;)

Yes, it used to be known as Hamburger Hill, but there was a distinct lack of US Marines & Viet Kong there at the time!
I'm 99% sure I will be in attendance, but being as my behemoth is a bit of a skip by comparison to the lovely motors I've seen so far, I will try to park out of the way and not embarrass any one :)
