Sorry, please take me off the "planning to attend list" .. :( prior commitments for that weekend .. mores the pity. :(
At last! Its booked over the first weekend in May (Bank Holiday too! :P)
I will update these images below to show the latest info regarding this meet:(http://www.ijdonline.co.uk/oof/rufforth09/status1.jpg)If these images are unavailable, please try again later!

Whats happening then? Do we want to change the dates? :-?Entwood is the only one to give alternative dates so far, (cheers mate) anyone else want these dates speak now please. If enough we'll try & rebook. As agreed with Ian Sunday pm is the deadline for date change. Still time for a rethink but too much later will clash with the E. Anglian meet. :)
Come on folks, let me know one way or the other? :-/
roughly where is rufforth btw?
i know a rufforth or rufford that has a ford (fun to speed through) lmao! so just thought i'd ask (the one i know is towards nottingham though)
thanks
Can manage without hook up, just asking teh question, thinking Lap top mainly, rest is fine. :yPossible generator charge or can be charged in pavillion kitchen behind locked door so safe (unless Ian nicks it)

Do we know whats happening yet? Are the original dates scrapped?
Be aware, if you are running a lappy of a genny, the genny must have a decent regulator on it to even out the genny's power and stop spikes.QuoteCan manage without hook up, just asking teh question, thinking Lap top mainly, rest is fine. :yPossible generator charge or can be charged in pavillion kitchen behind locked door so safe (unless Ian nicks it)
Joking aside i'm bringing my lappy too (for some lessons) so should be fine. Guy. :y
Plan was to use a 3kw inverter (hence the need for car batteries) for 240v, however the power still won’t be as smooth as 'proper' mains! I can then build a smaller generator which will charge up the car batteries! ;D (Will help keep the noise down too as the engine speed can be controlled by the power needed to charge the batteries - ie little load it will be ticking over, and at full load, it will be running at 3600rpm!) 8-)QuoteBe aware, if you are running a lappy of a genny, the genny must have a decent regulator on it to even out the genny's power and stop spikes.QuoteCan manage without hook up, just asking teh question, thinking Lap top mainly, rest is fine. :yPossible generator charge or can be charged in pavillion kitchen behind locked door so safe (unless Ian nicks it)

Probably not worth the effort - I think every camper can live without leccy for a weekend, esp as there is leccy available inside for emergency phone charging etc.QuotePlan was to use a 3kw inverter (hence the need for car batteries) for 240v, however the power still won’t be as smooth as 'proper' mains! Phoned Ian earlier But a lovely polite well spoken lady answered & told me he'd gone out (how irresponsible?) so i'm guessing the meet is going ahead as booked :y
Don't be so antisocial, leave the lappy for the weekend ;)QuoteQuoteProbably not worth the effort - I think every camper can live without leccy for a weekend, esp as there is leccy available inside for emergency phone charging etc.QuotePlan was to use a 3kw inverter (hence the need for car batteries) for 240v, however the power still won’t be as smooth as 'proper' mains! You haven't met me then yet ;D
If a laptop is not within 3 meters from me, I will shutdown!
Spoken to Ian & this meet is confirmed & site booked for the 1st to the 4th of May @ Rufforth playing fields on the B1224 just to the west of York off the ring road (A1237/A64) Prices start @ £10 per night but go down quickly as more folk join, last year cost me about £8 for the weekend so it's good value given the inclusive facilities. Caravans, children even doggies are welcome. There'll be a BBQ (if you can bring a few bits it would help) curry & rice...on me as has become OOF tradition :Phttp://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1234899748/0#0
Full use of pavilion inc. kitchen, microwave, phone & lappy charging, showers etc. Hook up availiable but you will be on the hardstanding away from us.
Being a numpty i can't so could some one start a confirmed attendee list that others can add to please? As far as i know money can be paid on arrival. Work on cars is also fine.
Lastly sorry to those who are unable to attend but expressed an interest earlier. You will be missed & missing a cracking meet.
Guy. :y
Sorry we won't be able to make it ... but I'm sure you'll have a good time .. perhaps next year :y :y :y :yMethinks it will too & sorry you can't make it this year. :y
Methinks this might become a regular fixture .. :)
I wish we could make it but I have commitments for the Friday night, Saturday morning, and I'm back in work on the Monday morning ::) ::) ::)You'll be welcome. :y
I might try and pop up on the Sunday if I can though, but no promises

is there a fridge onsite?Yes mate. In the pavillion kitchen. You may need to be supervised though as you have to walk through the bar to get there!!!! :D
Have we got a post code for the site, so I can go and have a look :yGo to the post Loo _ knee started, red clicky link shows a little on page 4, a piccy on page 5 showing how far we are from the pavillion or be brave & trawl through the meets pics. Plenty were posted. :y

:y
anybody got prices :yNot entirely sure but it's only a few quid a night, certainly cheap so no worries. It's block booked so the more attendees the cheaper, we split the cost between us last year. Think my share was £8, i gave Ian a tenner. Only stayed one night though but that should give you an idea.

PM Ian_D if you need a more precise answer but it won't break the bank!!! Very reasonable & a cracking meet! :y
I thought there was a 'confirmed thread' started by The Boy, seem to be a few, might get confusing.... ;)
