Title: Done and todo
Post by: Martin_1962 on 10 June 2007, 22:24:55
As you lot know I am slowly working through a list of faults and problems.

Did the plenum breather box yesterday and blasted out the breathers with compressed air :-?

It runs better now.

Still need to visit Brackley for the gearbox, and to change that thermostat!

I think I'll do the plugs one evening now I have found my feeler gauges.

Soesn't work and families get in the way ::)

You won't need your feeler gauges, you fit them straight out of the box. Am I correct in saying that a 2.6 uses the same plugs as a 3.2? If so you can't physically gap the 4 electrode plugs anyway.  :y

Well I need to check if they are OK first of all - no point replacing if OK

Martin, as you have it apart, I would replace them. As you have obviously used them enough to think about regapping, they are probably due replacement anyway.  They are £13 + VAT on TC - not really worth the effort not to....

When are you planning on coming up this way, as I may be able to get for you?

Failing that, it would be worth you joining ABS to get your own card ;)

Agreed, esp as your lpg.....i use the twin electrode......and change them every 10k on all my lpg cars and never use a feeler guage.....there preset to 1mm iirc.

Think Tunnie is going on his europe travels middle to end of next month  :-/
