Hello people i have just joined your site as i have just got my first omega. I have been with www.allvxl.com for years and thers is a big meet comming up if any body is intrested ?. Total Vauxhall magazine will be there and it sounds a great day/meet it's at Wollaton Hall nottingham NG8 2AE time/date....Sun Mar 28, 2010 10:30 am.

Notts not too far from the old homestead. One or two other Omegas local might come along to keep the numbers up (OOF stickers of course) & i reckon my mate Steve might want to bring his tasty little Astra Bertone as well.

Hiya guys ...just been reading this thread and i'am very pleased to see some of your members are interested in coming along...
I'am one of the Admin over on Allvxl and so far we're looking at around 100 cars turning up for this one...
It would be great to get some Migs there as well ... :y

Anyone can turn up for this meet matey ...all we ask is you pay the £2 parking charge and we will be having a whip round for Wollaton Hall during the day .. we are asking everyone to donate a £1 in the bucket just as a thank you to the Hall for putting up with us ...We'd like to try and make this a annual event ... :y
Is there any chance somebody could sort a list out so we know how many members are planning on coming along ...??

We'd like to make this up to a nice BIG round 100 ....
So how about it guys any more takers...??

We go from here in Long Eaton to Caernarfon regularly and can do that in 2.5 hrs if the wife doesnt moan.......
Liverpool less than 2 hrs.....

I'll be posting more details up on sunday round all the sites involved but basically when you come through the main gates you will see signs leading you round to the right and Allvxl marshals will point you in the right direction too...there will be a couple of people on the gate into our field collecting the £2 parking money and handing out your parking permit as supplied to us by Wollaton Hall

I am very excited to i have got my friends coming up to visit me on that sunday and they are looking forwad to seeing all the cars etc. It is also a nice way to end the term before i leave uni to go back home for easter, i said i was young lol, but on a serious note the rose and crown is in a great location and if we all agree to meet up there at a said time like 11am or somthing then when we are all there then we can drive the 1 minute to the hall together and bunch up real close on the drive leading up to the hall, all those Omegas gleaming in the (sunlight). i say that becuase knowing my luck and with it being my first meet it will be raining, snowing, hailing or maybe all three :D

There's already a few of us cruising down from Lincs...NICE..... so it would be great idea for us all to meet up nearer the gig then foll up mob handed in style, also we get to park up together.
SR-71, can you give us the address of the Rose & Crown & verify the meet time..11am? No postcodes please. I'm a grumpy old man who hates satnavs >:(. I am however HGV positive, can read a map & have books for the whole country as the tools of my trade. :y

It is LITERALLY less then 1 minute from the gates of Wollaton Hall and so i think it is the perfect place to finalise the convoy, it has a good sized car park for a pub and will be a great photo op with all the shiny omegas parked up, and thats before we even get to the real meet, i hope everybody thinks this is a good idea, time wise i have no idea when the thing even opens but we can sort that out later and closer to the date, cool

this bit is for everyone who is coming, do you all agree on the rose and crown for around 10am ish? i think it would be a perfect photo opportunity and would look very impressive when we all roll up the drive together

It is LITERALLY less then 1 minute from the gates of Wollaton Hall and so i think it is the perfect place to finalise the convoy, it has a good sized car park for a pub and will be a great photo op with all the shiny omegas parked up, and thats before we even get to the real meet, i hope everybody thinks this is a good idea, time wise i have no idea when the thing even opens but we can sort that out later and closer to the date, cool

I think an 11am meet up at Rose and Crown then 11.15 depart for the hall (up the ring road a junction then left turn...5 mins max)
Rose and Crown is about 400 metres inside the ring road (ie. towards the city centre) from the A52/Queens Medical Centre roundabout.
If you get to the Jaguar dealer you have gone too far.....

The A52/Queens Medical Centre is a fairly large roundabout with several lanes on it and looks slightly raised in comparison to other roundabouts nearby.It is a major junction on the ring road if that helps. :y
