Title: Vectra B V6 cambelt change

Anyone ever done one? What's it like to do? Obviously I know it's the same engine as the Meega.. but what is access like?  ::) Or Dare I ask?  ;D

Timing setup is obviously the same as the Omega.....there is an engine stabiliser bracket that bolts through the cambelt cover onto the tensioner plate (thats what the three trheaded holes in the front face of the tensioner are for) that has to be popped off....remove the drivers front wheel for better access....

access is not as good as omega...changed water pump recently on one.

Crank is easy to get to from drivers side after the wheel is taken off...

After you have praticed on that Veccy   ;).....my VeccyC 4 pot is due one in about 5k miles.....According to the paperwork i got with it when i bought it and a phone call to a vx dealer that serviced it.....its due at 105k......is on 95k now.....so 100k and i think its time it got done to be safe. If youve nothing better to do in about 1-2 months time   ;)

i found it easier than dong a 4 cyl one with regard to space, but still not as easy as a miggy, still a few ancill to get out of the way...

Mine was in a Mk2 cav, i know then engine bays are a bit smaller in that than a Veccy B
