'Newent 2010' takes place at:
Pelerine Caravan & Camping Site, 34 Ford House Road, Newent Glos; GL18 1LQ.
The most straightforward way to get to our venue, especially for caravanners, is to leave the M50 at Junction 3, and take the B4221 via Gorsley to Newent traffic lights.
OR:
Leave the A40 west of Gloucester (near Highnam), and take the B4215 to Newent traffic lights.
I plan to prominently affix signage from the traffic lights to our venue tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon, and these will be posted below.
They should be easily identifiable, and will no doubt meet with DLK's approval!

This isn't the way your sat nav will want to take you but as Byron says is the easiest especially for those towing a tuppaware palace. ;D

Sincere thanks to Elite Pete's expertise for posting-up this photo, and also to several other OOFers who attempted this task earlier.
;)
There shouldn't be any need for search parties this year!

They are in fact the 'two little fellas' - our youngest grandsons - who willingly posed for the OOF photographer this morning in their new school uniforms!
;)
We're ready to roll, so should be on site around mid-day tomorrow (Thursday)!

The tractor's loaded with:
10ft x 10ft gazebo (even though the weather forecast is good)
Spouted oil-drain pan (whoever uses it must correctly dispose of the oil themselves)
Ball-joint separator (so as not to damage dust covers)
Disc pad slide hammer (great for removing stubborn pads)
Also:
Two sacks of wood for the chimnea (plus some chopped kindling) courtesy of my brilliant father-in-law
Bow saw and axe (to pillage the surrounding countryside!) should we run out of suitable combustible materials
Nearly forgot:
A couple of gallons of Newcastle Brown Ale (purely medicinal, you understand!)
Acquired from our local emporium at a very favourable price. Brilliant businessman and friend is young Zak!

For anyone using SatNav, be very particular about the road, as ITS NOT FORD LANE. That will get you in a whole heap of shite, Pikey Palace or not.
I believe Tewksbury Road is nearest some satnavs have
-
Having been a couple of times with the Pikey Palace, this is the route I recommend if coming from the Gloucester direction, the other side roads are quite narrow in places, but satnav will attempt to take you down them.
