Title: Chasewater Meeting - Midlands (September)
Post by: SJKOO01 on 01 September 2011, 19:34:53
Okay then Ladies & Gentlemen.  Thinking of trying to get some of us together again at Chasewater for another meet up.  Which would you like to go for - The 18th or 25th Sept?  ;)

Me personally, I'd like to go for the 25th  ::)

Anyone who's not been to the meeting before and interested in coming, please do, the more, the merrier.  :y

Was thinking the same Dave  :-? .

However, most who've replied seem to favour the 25th of Sept, so I'll be there on the day, anyone going to join me for then  :P  :y

I'm planning to be there Sunday regardless of what the weather seems to this way Dave, so could be there myself at this rate  ::)

Invited a couple of other Omega Non-OOF members as well, though not sure if they will turn up.  Perhaps try to get them into signing their soul over to the OOF upon their return home if their interested enough ::) ;D

You won't be on your own mate, I'll be joining you and Dan said he'll be there too! I spent the day with Lee (wellung) today as he did some major work on my car and although his car is off the road, he's looking at coming if possible. Dan lives close to him and I've offered him a lift if he wants to come  :y

Can you try to ensure that all plans are in place in next 2 or 3 days, as OOF might be offline Fri/Sat  :-[

Just wanted to say thanks to Mike for organising another meet this month for us  :)

It's a shame that due to committments, others were unable to attend. Hopefully next month, more will be able to attend!

Anyway, thanks Mike and cheers for sorting the airbox too  :y

Only managed to get 1 pic (sorry Dan), lol

Good pictures Dan, like the one you took in your wing mirror!  Lee sorted the LPG out, the car nearly didn't make it to his though. The car was seriously mis firing, EML on and running real rough. Lee had the car 5 mins and found that the EGR wires were too close to a coolant pipe and they were causing the issues. No more fuse blowing, lol. Re-routed the wire, fuse changed and all seems well. Cheers Lee!  :y

Lets hope next month, the weather is better hey Dan!

Yeah weather let us down again, maybe next time will be better.

Was good to meet up with you all again.  Sorry I had to sprint off early, but had other commitments.

Seems blown fuses and duff bulb lamps were in order for the day this time.  Got some standard bulbs in the back so all well and people know I'm breaking to slow down now  ;) ;D .

Dan you took some good pics, apart from the one of my thinning bald spot, you could of used photoshop edit to make me look handsome ;D .

Dave, the air box took me 10mins to sort out, would of been 5 had I found my star-drive set quicker  ::), so I'll get you some new screws and return it next meeting  :y

Your a gent Mike, cheers for that. I'll go & get a filter for that now and ditch the cone filter!!  Either PM/email your invoice  :y

Was a good day and was great catching up, but like you said, hopefully the weather will be slightly better. We can only hope!!

My only issue next month, my wife is due with our second son on the 30 Oct. Depending on whether she's early or not will determine if I'm able to make it  :-\
Fingers crossed I'll be there though  ::) :y

Mike, I checked out the Chasewater layout and we are meeting at the "Brownhills West Station".

If your happy to continue organising our meets for us, might be an idea to mention that, that is the station we are at?

Just a thought mate   ::)

Hope all is well your end  :y

It's a good thought Dave and one I'll need to mention next time, as it caught out both a new OOF'er to our meeting and us not knowing about this.
I'll include a mini map and double check on the Post code for the road to get in at the end we meet up at next time.  :y

Just hope no one else turned up at the other end and thought no one had bothered to turn up at the end of the day  ???
