Title: extended waranty on the new car, worth it?

the dealer offered me the GOLD warentee which covers every thing from electrics to the dipstick,, i know sceptics say they not worth the paper printed on, but he said he do it for cost of £200 for 12 months, waddya really think of these car waranty's.

All I would say is, dont take the salesmans word for it as he will make money out of you buying the warrenty. Have a read of the small print.

ifts its under 10yrs old why dont you gat a quote from the AA they incude it in my brakdown cover for 120 a year. yes i know that they will only pay up to 500 pounds but  as i only paid 800 when i bought the car its better than nothing.

All I will say is be careful as most claims are limited to say £500.00 per claim. And with labour rates so high you often find it is nowhere near enough. And they make the price higher so you end paying anyway.
