Post by: mantahatch on 01 June 2009, 14:31:44
Well tomorrow morning I have a new windscreen being fitted. and in the afternoon I have the air con being re gassed by a specialist, all being done done at my house.

Question is have I asked for to much to be done in day.

If they both know what there doing, I'd say winscreen 45 mins to an hour and a bit less for the re gas.

Can't possibly be as nice or as posh as that Ferndown area.  ;D

The windscreen is the big job here. Sounds daft, I know, but as usual with omegas, it is not straightforward. Marks DTM had a serious headache with leaks when his was replaced and another member (I cant recall who) had his crack at the top centre due to stress after incorrect fitting.

Do as all other omega owners do: drop your trousers, bend over and pray ;D ;D

Hi Cem, no worries the car will be left parked on my driveway for at least 36 hours. I will ride the bike tomorrow, and the air con man is coming to my house aswell.

Fitter due at 09.00 so I thought at about 08.00 I would open the bonnet and remove wipers and scuttle, then I may have a look at removing A post trims, depends if I feel brace enough on them.

Insurance paying for some of it, and I pay £60 excess so I suppose they are paying about half  :(

Soory for my ignorance on this, but I thought it had to come off to get the old screen out. If it does not need to come off the I will leave it in place.

Thanks
