Title: tow bar light on dash ?????

not sure if in the right section
to many to chose from

the little light on the dash board in the shape of a tow bar
should that be lit when a trailer light board is attached or not
or is it just there for show :D

It is to show that the indicator on the trailer or what you have pluged in is working. so to say as a reminder (dont forget you have a trailer)

i had a vauxhall tow bar fitted after i had the accident
and it beeps in the boot but no light on the dash

Not correctly wired? mine is just the light no noise.

Either the beeper of light are legal. To get the light to work you need a different flasher unit (normally) and, probably, to put a bulb in :y :y

after the accident the garage fitted a genuine vauxhall tow bar and electrics
they didnt just scotch lock the wiring either
they used the proper connector that sits in the boot
