Title: Cam followers

Decided to use my old mig as a donor car  :y gonna transplant cams and follwers to me new mig and vice versa then sell old mig which has full leather and long mot and tax. :y

well me new one needs follower i have been told :-[

depends how bad it really is, could you live with a rattle. would seem a shame to bugger up another good car for maybe one rattling follower. also, sure its not the injection thats tapping/ticking. just a thought. i have a good set of (98)cams & followers for a 2.5, im sure a deal could be done on your spare  one so to speak, if its an estate.  ::)

When you swop them, you may be able to flush/clean out
the lifters before you put them in the old mig...

i guess you have tried the usual fix of 2 or 3 quick oil changes? Use VX OIL 10/40 semi synth. Cured mine.

old ones a saloon sadly 2.5 v6 on an s plate :-/

Then sell the old mig, without changing any engine parts.
With the money you make buy yourself a new set of lifters for the new mig...
Better to put your hard work and money into the mig you are going to keep and run...

Any takers on me old mig then lol 9 months ticket and 4 months tax  :y will  put it in here for spares or repair i think :y
