Title: Induction Kit....Be Warned.
Post by: duggs on 13 June 2007, 02:02:34
Whilst Induction kits often DO enhance performance I've noticed a HUGE trade off.

MPG drops dramatically....Common sence I guess but I didn't realise how much of a hit fuel consumption will take.

I took mine out of my Vectra Sri and plonked it in my Omega 2.5 and all seemed well with the Omega.

Took the Vectra to work today and at 80 mph the gauge jumped back up from a 31 MPG average to between 38-42.

SO based on that, neither car has got the Induction Kit fitted now. In my honest opinion no slight performance boost is worth

THAT sort of loss to the MPG.

I haven't noticed any performance gain since fitting mine. My economy has dropped slightly but that's mainly down to me flooring it to hear the roar ::)

The only roar I get from mine when I floor it, is from Mrs AA in the passenger seat. ;D

>:(Duccie kits do'nt help performance much if any, or fuel but when you hit the silly pedal & it barks like a b*****d who cares?
Everything we enjoy costs us our hard earned, so while you have a point my Pipercross stays. [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

if your worried about fuel like that stay away from them but then maybe a 1.1 corsa is better still for fuel lol but who cares like before mentioned when you floor the  pedal and the car roars like a dragon the smile from ear to ear is worth it in my eyes
