I saw a Mk 2 Cavalier today. I honestly can't remember seeing one in ages. When I was growing up they were everywhere, mum had one, bruv had one, even I had one.
How about naming a few cars which seemed two a penny a few years back but are now on the verge of extinction.

Opel Rekord.
My dad had a 1982 one until 1998. It was burhundy red with a 2.0 n/a diesel engine from a nissan bluebird. The ignition barrel was knackered so the starting procedure was 1turn on ignition 2 press starting button hiden under the dash.
Im sure no car was ever attempted to be stolen as may times as that. Noone could figure out how to start it. One time we found it down the road :D ;D

I see us "older folk" are keeping stum. maybe all at work!
No mention of Ford Anglia's, Populars or Prefects.? Quite scary to think that the younger generation probably see these as Museum cars.
I once owned a Sunbeam Talbot 90. Wish i still had it now.

Often come across a Triumph Dolly on my way to work. Looks in pretty good nick, only thing letting it down is it's in that Poo brown colour !!.
Mind you if the T.G gang got hold of it, probably wouldn't last long ?!.
