Post by: Monza on 19 July 2009, 09:02:19
Thats some price, considering some tw*t put a gold stripe down the side, would need to get the heat gun out and remove it. I was in, upto £1500, but thats me done :D

Seems in nice condition but i find those prefacelift ones look very dated these days.

If you were going to buy it to keep forever its probably worth the money, lets face it, with depreciation being what it is on newer cars, my wifes clit lost £1500 soon as she drove it out of the showroom!

Cheers!

Does look in very good condition.

Not sure an ebay auction will realise its potential, but reckon the right person will pay for that.

I much prefer pre to facelift, but only really a fan of the mv6 interior either way.

I actually used to like the prefacelift ones, but once you park the 2 side by side the difference is dramatic.

£1650 for an S plate MIG, and it still hasn't reached the reserve?????

I must mail the seller and get his dealers name & address....because that's obviously some good $hit he's taking.

I love the way that Ebay sellers always state that a car 'drives like new' because it has a new or newer engine fitted.... As we all know any wishbones over 50K are well on their way to thier end of life (regardless of the MOT pass).

Also an original exhaust on a car that has done low mileages will probably be happily rusting it's way from the inside out.

I also note that the gear selector doesn't sit straight and the brake pedal rubber looks worn.

That said it does look a nice car, but then good photo's aren't as good as a proper inspection.

Might be worth it, but still seems a little steep to me.

My father in law has a facelift, i've always had earlier cars as I prefer them! I can see the differences outside in the bonnet, rear lights and chrome strips but again I think the older one is nicer. After a few dented strips I can see the bonus of not having them I suppose. It's inside where I really prefer the design though! Each to their own I guess...  :y

As for the auction, gives me hope that fixing and selling my elite saloon may get a decent price as it's got low mileage too!

Does seem to be going for over the average lately  :-/

i would be a bit suspicious of the tape lines that have been put on it, that is sometimes done to disguise the fact that a panel or two have been repainted, the tape line fools the eyes so a slight difference in colour isnt so obvious.

Blimey how much did he want!

I do like the loks of it, apart from the tape. Driver's door card looks a bit manky though, and I agree the selector does have a Port list.
