Title: 08 vectra/pedal trick...?

will it work?
I know obvious answer is to try it but its the father in laws and i dont want to over complicate the conversation.
2.2 auto petrol 08 year.
He was sat waiting for Mrs in law with ac on engine running for about 5 mins, drove off, car stalled, car symbol with spanner lit up. Re started the car and drove on no problem. Done it twice now.
 
Would be nice to know the codes before we try the warranty route.

Car is in essex.

nope, doesnt work. Dealers on monday. Should be under warranty i guess?
Keeps cutting out and now intermittantly refusing to start.
