Title: centre steering bar
Post by: raywilb on 03 September 2009, 22:01:53
the bar that has both o/s & n/s tie rods attatched to & has two ball joints, one either side. does any body know if the b/j,s alone are renewable or is it a complete centre bar change.

Are you talking about the thin bars that are attached to each strut by small ball joints top and bottom ? if so there stabiliser bars.

no the thick bar that goes from one side to the other. the balljoints in question one is fixed to the steering idler the other to the steering box arm.  :y

The ball joints cant be changed on thier own however, these are a very rare failure so a second hand part is a viable option.
