Got my Omega replacement now. Some lucky so and so in kent is enjoying my special 2.5 Omega.

Thanks for all the tips and laughs etc.

I still have a cam locking kit to lend out.

Up for grabs for the 2.5 petrol engine are the following spares that are now surplus:

Hope your going to hang about Andy.Imo the forum will always benefit from people like yourself who are willing to lend out cam locking kits etc,like you did for me. :y

I dont trust Postie so its pick up in person and leave a cheque for £50. Return the kit..you get cheque back.

That's a round trip of nearly 1000 miles for me - cheaper to get a VX dealer to do it :o

IIRCC it's OK... Laser tools seem to be a little on the budget side but for something that probably won't get loads of use I would imagine it'll be OK.

I'm sure you could pick up a Sealy one for a little more money and they're good :y :y

I have a laser one and it does the job - just. As said, better ones (Sealey, Sykes Pickavent, etc) are available for similar money.

There was a spate of Laser kits that simply didn't fit at all a year or two ago. Haven't heard of any problems lately though.
