They're quite a good idea, but you can make your own from some pieces of wood.
I made my own ramps years ago & made them extra long for my low Pontiac.

I agree, but they're only a tenner, albeit, out of stock ;D

They don't look strong enough :-/ Though there will be some guide as to how much weight they can take.
I think i'd chock mine underneath to stop sagging :y

As Pete did, I made a set years back for getting the Senator up a set of ramps. I tend to use them what ever car I drive up theramps thoughas it makes the angle of attack so much smoother/easier - you just need to walk to the other sid eof the road now to line them up!  ;D ;D ;D

I have always used "assisters", off cut 7" x 2" garage roof joists. they fit nicely in the second ramp rung.

Ditto - use two 7" x 2" wooden offcuts about 18" long flat on floor in front of ramps - gives enough lift for valence to clear.

Barry, I've got about 30' of 7" x 3" on top of the garage and a circular saw if you fancy making yourself a set in wood ;) :y

been eyeing up some left over sleepers(not railway) from a garden project. £11 each 2 should do the whole job, ramp and extensions in one. Not that heavy when they dry out either. And wont slide up the road when you drive up them like metal ramps do. :-)

Just need a deep enough circular saw to cut the angle. :-(

That's an advantage of the ramp extensions, the weight of the car is acting more downwards on the shallow angle of the extension than forward on the greater angle of the front of the ramp ...... mine do anyway!  ;)  :y

AA, yours a CD, not an MV6, why do you need ramp extensions? Have you fitted one of them irmscher front dams, you boy-racer?  8-)

My preface lift Elite will catch the top of the ramp without any kind of extension, & mine is totally unmodified.  ;)

Same here when borrowing a mates. But rear is fine with self levelling raised :-)

So not really worth the price of ramps and extensions for the few occassions ill need the front lifted with wheels loaded. IF i can diy my own.

Never really understood why they make them so short? Few cars clear them.
