Title: Ugly modified Omega
Post by: joshwyatt on 16 September 2009, 10:45:23
I saw this on ebay, I think it looks utterly ridiculous. It's ex police aswell, which is not bad thing in itself...but I doubt it'd only have 89,000 miles being a 2000 'W' plate. Perhaps without the viper stripes it'd look ok...not too sure.

I don't have a problem with the colour, only the horrible stripes which I think ruin it. And that grille...mmm I think not. I wonder if the stripes are painted on or vinyl? If vinyl wouldn't be too bad to take off. But it's got prefacelift mirrors and leather seats, so would need a bit of work doing to it.

Yeah, this has been on here before, it's got an elite interior hasn't it? (In an MV6) With a few gashes on the armrest. I quite like the look of it but wouldn't be tempted to part with that much money, looks a bit dodgy to me 8-)

i suppose it could have be worse, the owner could have been a starsky & hutch fan & done the torino stripe thing :o, & that car has been for sale for quite some time & im not surprised :P :P

Nah, the white stripes don't quite work. I could live with the blue.

The blue's ok, stripes can be removed but given the yellowing of the carpet i would'nt believe the mileage. The leather looks very worn & not recaro.
     I would'nt swap! 8-)

i,d have it  :y

but i,d strip the stripes, paint the alloys black and fit a mesh grille  ::)
if you look close enough it has,nt even got a grille, just a bit of chicken wire across the back  :-?

would,nt take much to make good  8-)

Perfect example of how to ruin an omega in 3 easy steps!  :o

The colour is just about ok, but the stripes and wheels scream I'M A CHAV.  ;D
Also, why would anyone put prefacelift seats (and not great ones at that) in a facelift?  :-?
One has to assume they are probably better than the ones in there before and thus 89K is a load of BS.
I'll stick with mine thanks. ;)

why is there a prefacelift armrest on facelift interior? it looks stupid and from the back its to tall, dont mind the exterior really though.

well I think colour is pretty good, stripes are idiotic though

Its a badly repainted ex plod car, with a no doubt interstellar mileage, lots of rust under the paint, seats that dont even fit properly, an interior that looks like someone has been living in there since it was new and a host of other problems, some noted, some im sure would surface after you parted with your cash!

Other than that, nice car!  :P

I saw the senator seats too. It looks to me that an ex plod car has been picked up for a song and they had £20 left over for some paint cans and a old leather interior plus the white stripes is because they run out of paint ;D ;D
