Hi
I saw an astra estate 1.6 lpg from about 2001 for sale at my sons school earlier, aparantly done about 70k miles and for £1600. i believe it was a factory install.
wondering how much mpg i can expect to get from it.
unfortunly with reports of fuel going to cost even more i don't think buy a 3.2 omega was a great idea

Depending on condition/mileage, how about swapping my 2001 Astra 1.6 Factory LPG Estate for your 3.2 manual?
(Once I have fixed the astra oil loss, of course :D )
::) :P
It does between 26/29mpg on gas, which is about 8.5p per mile.... reckon if the LPG ECU was connected to and tweaked this could be increased.

what kind of mpg is it likely to do on petrol then?

About 42 going by his earlier posts. :)

Damn, i wanted it to be rubbish so i could justify keeping the omega.
42 beats the 30 im getting now...
thing is i only got it a month ago and it does have problems so know id loose a fair bit of money.

or convert your 3.2.
7 or 800 sobs should cover all tank sizes. 19 mpg at 53p a litre(cheapest round here some up to 56 odd)
Got to be better than an Astra? We have standards you know! :-)
