I had a new Windscreen fitted by Autoglass today and was very pleased with the fitters work :y.
He used a gadget I've never seen used before which he stuck to the inside of the window with a bit which looked like a mortise board stuck to the outside with wires put around the edge of the glass and then turned a ratchet inside which cut the joint :y.
I then took it for an MOT which it passed with no problems thankfully :y.

Thats how it should be done and how TIS instructs it to be done.
It does a lot less damage and the paint work does not suffer.
